Why do you as a christian not interpret Matt 22:32 this way?

When you read the terms dead and living in these contexts it's not referring to literal life but being "dead in trespes and sins" and "quickened by the Holy Spirit" (quickened means "made alive") God is simply saying He is not the God of unbelievers (those already dead) but of believers (those made alive).
