Help! How do you find work on Hamilton Island?

Hey guys, I am from Sydney Australia and am looking for work on Hamilton Island preferably in events coordination, front desk reception, food and beverage staff for 6 - 12 months minimum. I want to know how to find work before I go so that I know I have a job when I go up there! Also, can anyone fill me in on their expereinces working on Hamilton Island? I'd love to hear some feedback!...and...what's the night life like?
