As for the ANA that is the American Numismatic ociation I never joined and never will. As far as I am concerned they have never helped the average collector. The shenanigans has only made coin prices higher and the leaders, who don't lead so well, trip a lot for their noses are always up in the air. If you wan to join a good organization that studies coins and has no secret agendas join the American Numismatic Society.
