How to sanitize scissors for cutting umbilical cord for puppies......?

The mom will more than likely do all the work, but just in case it's not a bad idea to have a pair of scissors. To sanitize I'd recommend just soaking them in Iodine or bleach (preferably Iodine since bleach can have many more harmful chemicals involved, though they both work just as well). Either one you use, I suggest thoroughly rinse the scissors before actually using them, since the mom will probably be doing a lot of licking and those chemicals won't do her any good.
