Has anyone ever run into Box Jellyfish in Maui?

I read in a book that 9-10 days after the full moon each month, box jelly- fish swarm the beaches in Maui. Since they can be deadly I am a little concerned since we are going to be there at that time and I love boogie boarding and really want to snorkel everyday. Thanks.
