Blower motor out of sync on AC?

Whenever I have my AC on in my apartment, the furnace (which also has the fan for all the ventilation) makes a loud clanking noise. I reported it to the office and the guy said he thought the blower motor was out of sync. I didn't have time to ask him how to fix it. Anyone know how you would re-sync it?
